Research In Motion Unveils the New Blackberry

Since its inception in the market, the Blackberry has revolutionized the smart phone industry. The newest version of the Blackberry Torch, model 9860, has been unveiled and it ups the ante for all other smart phones on the market. This sleek phone, if it even should be classified as a phone, uses the Blackberry 7 operating system. Research In Motion, or RIM for short, has been working on this new model for some time and Blackberry owners around the world have been on pins and needles waiting for this new product. While this Blackberry will carry on the tradition of previous models as the corporate phone for the discerning executive, it will also come equipped with applications for personal use.

The Blackberry 9860 will come ready to handle all of the usual business related activities, but the new operating systems allows for smoother integration. Plus, the Blackberry will come straight from the manufacturer with applications capable of handling productivity software. Not to mention, the Torch 9860 will let users keep business and personal separate with applications that organize tasks into specific categories. This was not possible with previous versions of the Blackberry. The new operating system will increase the overall speed of the new model. This will improve both browsing speed and application processing. With all of these new innovations, it will hard for the average person to pass on this smart phone, let alone the business minded individual.

The Blackberry Bold 9780 was just announced and its launch date has not yet been determined for American markets. However, recent reviews have been overwhelmingly positive and the bar has been set fairly high. Given the success of previous Blackberry models, this should not be surprising. Consumers have certain expectations when it comes to Blackberry phones and this new model in particular is set to exceed those standards. The Blackberry Torch 9860 is sure raise the bar for future smart phones. Though it probably won’t rival touchscreens of devices like the HTC Sensation XE.
